Our Story

It all began with ‘The Chinese Story’ , an Indo-Chinese restaurant in Porur , Chennai. The food there was much appreciated and it lured people from all over Chennai.
The need to cater to a wider section of people was always there deep rooted within us, and the success of The Chinese Story only made it stronger.
And so The Red Box happened…
Only as Take-away or Home delivery outlets.
With each outlet having separate kitchen , food was freshly made, so we were able to deliver fresh, tasty food, quickly and packaged in a spill –proof, easy to carry Red Box.

Our USP is the ease of use and eco friendly disposability of our take away boxes
  • Adapted from the ancient Chinese method of carrying food in these sort of boxes it was custom made to make it eco-friendly, healthy and hygienic.

Franchisee 
Model

From 2018, a franchise model has been adopted. Since then there are multiple outlets opened across Chennai, Bangalore, Vizag, Pondicherry and Coimbatore.The Red Box sets up the outlet and then hands it over to the franchisee along with the staff. The initial investment to open an outlet is between ₹ 22 lakhs - ₹ 25 lakhs with a Return on investment at around 1.8 years. Outlets are typically 600 to 800 sq. ft, and they are takeaway outlets with kitchens.

The menu includes a wide assortment of soups, starters, momos, mains and desserts including combo options that serve rice/noodles with a gravy. This menu is priced between ₹85 to ₹220. The recipes of these are specifically curated to manage large orders in a short span of time.
